Best season: fall. Fall offers the best combination of mild daytime temperatures, dramatic canyon color, and low crowds — expect crisp days typically in the 55–75°F range and cool nights dipping into the 30s–40s°F. Water is often calmer and clear, making September–October excellent for boating, fishing, and wildlife viewing along the canyon rims and shoreline. Fewer visitors and stabilized summer water levels give the most relaxed access to camp sites and boat launches, though hunters and seasonal regulations can增 Peak months: September, October, June, May Avoid: December, January, February
