Summer is the sweet spot here. Daytime highs run 65–80°F, nights cool to 45–55°F. Perfect for swimming, paddling, and fishing without sweltering. The lake is calmest in early morning, glassy and still before afternoon breezes pick up. Holiday weekends in July see the most traffic. Autumn brings color and fewer people, but temperatures drop fast. Winter turns the place into a snow-covered landscape; the campground may not be plowed or maintained for cold-weather camping.
