Best Time to Camp at Twin Lakes (Wi)

Summer arrives with sun-dappled days perfect for swimming and hiking, though the warm months also awaken the forest's buzzing residents—mosquitoes and horse flies that remind visitors to pack their bug spray. For those seeking a more tranquil experience, mid-September emerges as the sweet spot for camping. As autumn begins its gentle arrival, the bugs retreat, crowds thin, and the forest prepares for its spectacular color transformation, offering cooler days and crisp, star-filled nights.
