Best season: summer. Summer offers warm, stable weather (daytime highs generally in the mid-60s to mid-80s°F) and the fullest range of lake-focused activities — swimming, boating, and trout/panfish fishing are at their peak and the campground facilities are fully open. Water temperatures are often comfortable (upper 60s–70s°F) for afternoon swims and canoeing, and long daylight hours make hiking and evening campfires easy. Expect busy holiday weekends and reserved sites from late May through August, so book early or Peak months: July, August, June, September Avoid: November, December, January, February
Peak season: warm lake temps (upper 60s–low 70s), busy beach, strong positive summer reviews.

Morgan Lake Campground and Group Site is equipped with essential amenities for campers, including a swim beach, picnic area, boat landing, and trash collection with recycling bins. Accessible pit toilets and potable water are available. However, utility hookups are not provided. The group campsite offers multiple tables, a campfire circle, and grills for communal use. User reviews confirm the cleanliness of the pit toilets and note adequate supplies of toilet paper. "Vault toilets are kept clean, with plenty of toilet paper," writes Marlene B. Another review by Cynthia J highlights, "Bathrooms are kept clean by staff." Water is provided via a hand pump, but reviews caution about its quality: "Water from the potable water pump is quite rusty," notes Colleen S. Some campers like Anthony I recommend letting the water settle due to sediment.
