Summer visits mean dust, rattlesnakes, and mosquitoes thick enough to fill the pit toilets. No potable water, no cell service, and weekend noise from local partiers make it a hard sell for families or light packers.

Antilon Lake camping area is great for large groups and accessible to small RV's. Antilon Lake is open to fishing, and non-motorized or electric-motor boats. Not recommended for swimming. During the summer this camping area can be hot, dry and one of the first areas to close to campfires. Spring and Fall are much more pleasant. Can be very busy in spring.

Lake Chelan Boat-in and Drive-to Campground Guide and Map

Fall is the best time to visit. Daytime highs settle into the 50s and 60s, with mornings in the 30s and 40s. The lake stays calm, crowds thin out, and fishing picks up. Spring offers wildflowers and comfortable temperatures. Summer gets hot and dry, and mosquitoes become a problem. Winter opens the area to snowmobilers but limits traditional camping access.
Fall described as best: cooler temps (50s–60s), thin crowds and improved fishing.
The Antilon Lake Campground is designed for large groups and small RVs. Amenities are minimal but include restrooms. There is no potable water or garbage service available, requiring campers to pack out their trash and bring their own drinking water. User reviews indicate the presence of pit toilets, but these have mixed reviews regarding cleanliness, with one user stating, 'The on-site drop toilets contained more mosquitos than outside.'
