No potable water on-site, a single site that's first-come-first-served, rough access roads that tripped up GPS navigation as recently as a few years ago, and zero amenities beyond a vault toilet make this a hard pass for anyone expecting even basic comforts.

Summer is the only practical season here. From mid-June through September, trails and access roads are usually snow-free, with daytime highs between 60 and 75°F and nights dropping to 30-45°F. Weekends bring more visitors, but traffic stays light because of the tent-only setup and rough roads. Outside these months, snow makes the campground inaccessible, and temperatures drop well below freezing.
Summer is the only practical season (mid‑June–Sept snow‑free); pleasant daytime temps noted.
