Generator noise is a real problem here, and some sites have little separation from neighbors. No potable water means hauling your own supply, and no showers means you're fully dry-camping for the duration.

This campground is located on the north end of beautiful Sullivan Lake and offers many recreational opportunities. Campsites are suitable for both tent and RV camping.

The elevation is 2,600 ft. The campground has three loops (Fir, Cedar, and Pine) on the east side of Sullivan Lake. None of the campsites are on the lake or have a view of the lake. Sites are tucked into a stand of mixed conifers including cedar and Douglas fir. Fir loop is the largest and closest to the boat ramp. Pine loop is close to the swim beach and has numerous double wide campsites but shorter parking aprons. Cedar loop has all the campground's pull-throughs which are designated double sites. This is bear country; practice safe food storage techniques. Some bear-resistant containers are located in around campground. A "Food Storage Order" is in place at this campground. All food, beverages, and Colville National Forest 31 other attracants must be properly stored in a bear-resistant container; stored in a closed motor vehicle with a solid top; or, stored in a closed, hard-body RV. Not observing this Order may result in a fine.

Summer delivers the best conditions, with highs in the mid-70s to low 80s and nights dropping to the 40s and 50s. All facilities and trailheads stay open, and the lake warms enough for comfortable swimming. Expect moderate crowds on holiday weekends, though weekday visits remain quiet. Winter access becomes difficult and the campground may close entirely. Spring and fall offer cooler alternatives, but summer is when this place makes sense for most campers.
Summer is peak: warm highs, lake swimmable, all facilities/trails open; popular season.
