Best season: fall. Fall is the standout season for Potters Pond — crisp days, golden aspen displays, and excellent late-season fishing and hiking make it especially rewarding. Expect daytime highs in the 40s–60s°F and nights that often drop below freezing, creating brilliant color contrast and fewer bugs. Crowds thin compared with midsummer, so you get peaceful paddling and wildlife viewing, though watch for the possibility of early snow or icy mornings. Peak months: September, October, August, July Avoid: November, December, January, February
