Summer at Lonesome Beaver offers the clearest weather and the most reliable road access, with daytime highs typically in the mid-60s to low-80s°F and cool nights down into the 30s–50s°F—perfect for high-elevation camping and stargazing. This is when the five-site campground is most comfortable for tent or small-RV stays, water is most likely available, and alpine trails and views are fully accessible.
