Originally called Brown’s Hole, this is a remote valley along the Green River. Known as a haven for outlaws such as Butch Cassidy during the late 19th century, it is now the location of many scenic and recreational opportunities. Full of history and adventure this is an excellent area for your next trip, featuring the John Jarvie Historic Ranch, several campgrounds, sections of the Green River to float, equestrian and OHV trails, as well as excellent fly fishing await.
Drive north out of Vernal UT on Hwy 191 to the Wyoming border. Turn right on Browns Park Rd. Continue on Browns Park Rd. for 20 miles arrive at Browns Park Recreation Area.

Fall offers the best combination of comfortable daytime temperatures (typically 50–75°F) and crisp, clear skies, with cottonwoods and riparian shrubs showing color along the Green River corridor. Water levels are often lower and calmer for fishing and late-season boating, while hiking and wildlife viewing are excellent as resident and migratory species are active. Crowds are generally light compared with summer weekends, making it easier to find a first-come, first-served campsite and enjoy long Peak months: September, October, May, April Avoid: January, February

Bridge Hollow Campground offers a range of basic amenities designed for a rustic yet convenient camping experience. The campground provides 9 individual campsites and 1 group site, each equipped with picnic tables and fire rings. Vault toilets are available within the campground. Drinking water is available seasonally. Visitors are required to use the Scan & Pay system or pay via an Iron Ranger using cash or check. Pets are allowed but must be leashed.
