<p>Dutch John Draw Campground is located within a quiet cove on Flaming Gorge Reservoir. It is located on a sloping hillside forested with pinyon pines, which offer little shade. The entire site offers scenic views of the water. Campers enjoy easy access to boating, water skiing, fishing and swimming.</p><p>A small boat dock is located on-site and is designated specifically for those camping at Dutch John Draw. A short trail leads to it from the campground, providing easy access to boating, water skiing, canoeing, fishing and swimming on the reservoir. A boat ramp is available less than 2 miles away at Mustang Ridge.</p><p>Trash collection is provided.</p><p><strong>Nearby Activities</strong></p><ul><li>Flaming Gorge Dam offers guided tours of the working hydroelectric plant and the dam, and the adjacent visitor center contains area history exhibits.</li><li>The Green River below the dam provides spectacular rafting opportunities. A trip down the river offers unique geology, outlaw history and Native American rock art.<br /> </li></ul><p> </p>

Summer offers the most reliable warm weather and full access to the reservoir, with long, sunny days ideal for boating, swimming, and group gatherings; daytime highs typically range from the mid-70s to mid-80s°F with cool nights in the mid-40s to mid-50s°F. Boat launches and fishing are at their peak—warm-water species and trophy trout are most active and the water is comfortable for swims and paddle sports. Expect higher use on holiday weekends but otherwise a relaxed, social campground vibe as Peak months: July, August, June, September Avoid: January, February, March, April
