<p>Duck Creek Campground lies adjacent to Duck Creek Pond and Duck Creek, both excellent fishing waters. This picturesque spot rests beneath a sheltering canopy of ponderosa pine and aspen; it provides easy access to several recreational activities and breathtaking scenery. The elevation is 8,600 ft. The campground, adjacent to Duck Creek Pond, is composed of five loops - A, B, C, D, and E. Loop A has paved parking aprons, flush toilets (and a vault), raised fire grilles and camp sites in spruce and Aspen trees. Loops B through E are tucked into lava beds and mixed stands of conifer trees with gravel parking aprons. Two volley ball courts are available and interpretive programs are presented on weekends during the summer. Possible day trips from the campground are Bryce Canyon National Park (about 51 miles), Zion National Park (about 66 miles) and Cedar Breaks National Monument (about 15 miles). The parking aprons are paved in Loop A; the remaining loops are comprised of gravel parking aprons.
In Cedar City, UT, at the intersection of State Rts. 130 and 14, take Rt. 14 east 27.9 miles to campground sign. Turn left into campground.

Best season: summer. Summer offers the best combination of reliably warm days, fully open facilities, and access to all trails and attractions — expect daytime highs in the mid-70s to mid-80s F and crisp nights around 35–45°F at 8,400 ft. Fishing on Duck Creek Pond, mountain biking and ATV trail access, and long hiking days through aspen and ponderosa stands are at their peak. Crowd levels rise in July–August (busy weekends), but the elevation keeps temperatures comfortable compared with the desert below.
