Best season: summer. Summer offers the most reliable access, the warmest daytime temps, and the fullest suite of activities — expect daytime highs around 65–80°F and cool nights in the 40s–50s at this ~3,000 ft site. Trails and forest roads are generally dry and clear, making hiking, mountain biking, and river fishing the easiest and most enjoyable; spring-fed Indigo and Chuckle Springs are pleasant for relaxing beside the water. Crowds rise in July–August but the primitive, spread-out sites still provide a feeling— Peak months: July, August, September, June Avoid: December, January, February
Best season: summer; peak May 1–Oct 31, warm days and full suite of activities.
