Natural Features and SceneryThe campground sits in a basin carved by ancient glaciers, ringed by lodgepole pines, mountain hemlock, fir, and spruce. Crescent Lake's blue-green water spreads out from the site, backed by the Cascade Range to the west. The moraine dam that shapes the lake is itself a remnant of ice-age geology. It's a landscape built by fire and ice over thousands of years.
