No potable water on-site means hauling everything yourself, and with only four first-come sites, a Friday afternoon arrival could leave you without a spot. Amenity-seekers won't find showers, hookups, or a host.

Summer is the reliable window here. Expect warm days between 70 and 85°F, cool nights dropping to the 40s and 50s. River flows settle down by June, making swimming and fishing easier. Wildflowers peak in late June and July on the sunny slopes above camp. Spring can be wet and trails muddy. Winter brings rain and occasional snow, though the low elevation keeps accumulation light. Weekends see moderate use even at this small site, so arrive early if you want your pick of the four spots.
Summer is the reliable window; warm days and lower river flows make activities easier.
