Best Time to Camp at Hidden Campground

Hidden Campground welcomes visitors during its prime season from May 15 through October 31, when the high country truly comes alive. Early season arrivals in May might encounter crisp mornings with frost giving way to warming afternoons, while summer transforms the campground into a temperate paradise with daytime temperatures climbing comfortably between 50°F and 80°F. The shoulder seasons bring their own magic – spring wildflowers in late May and June, perfect summer days for river activities in July and August, and golden autumn colors painting the mixed conifer forest in September and October. Outside the operating season, winter's grip brings dry, freezing conditions that blanket this mountain refuge in peaceful solitude.

About Hidden Campground

Tucked away along the pristine waters of the Wild and Scenic Imnaha River, Hidden Campground lives up to its name as a secluded wilderness retreat. This intimate, rustic facility offers a rare escape where the melodic sounds of rushing river water provide a natural soundtrack to your camping experience. Each campsite is thoughtfully positioned riverside, allowing the soothing river symphony to reach every corner of this small haven. The campground accommodates a mix of tent and trailer users, with no designated RV spots or group camping areas. Primitive camping is the primary experience offered.
