Campers who want extreme solitude and cheap access to Delintment Lake for summer fishing or canoeing. New picnic tables, stone fire rings, and clean vault toilets make this a solid base camp. Bring all your water and pack out everything.
The campground is temporarily closed, confirm status with Emigrant Creek Ranger District at (541) 573-4300 before planning any trip. Also a hard pass if potable water is non-negotiable; there's none on-site, and Burns is 45 miles out.

<p>Tip Top Campground is a small peaceful campground located not far from <a href="http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/malheur/recarea/?recid=40044">Delintment Lake Campground</a>. This 3 site campground has been newly renovated with new restrooms, picnic tables and fire rings. Except for the last mile, the road access to Tip Top is paved from Burns, Oregon. </p><p>Please pack out what you pack in, no trash service is provided. N</p>

Summer brings daytime highs around 70–85°F with cool nights in the mid-30s to mid-40s. Roads and trailheads are typically snow-free, making it the best time for hiking, fishing, and canoeing at nearby Delintment Lake. Weekend crowds are moderate. Quieter than Delintment Lake Campground but not empty. Mountain weather shifts quickly here, so pack layers and rain gear even in summer.
