Best season: summer. Summer offers the most reliable access and the warmest, driest weather for boating and shore fishing — expect daytime highs around 70–85°F and crisp nights in the mid-30s to low 50s°F at this 4,800 ft high-desert site. The reservoir and boat ramp are fully usable, wildlife (including pronghorn) is active in early morning/evening, and the four campsites plus group site provide a quiet, intimate experience; weekends around July and August are busiest. Duncan Reservoir Campground offers basic amenities suited for those seeking a rustic camping experience. Facilities include four single campsites and one group campsite equipped with fire grates and picnic tables. Additional offerings include a vault toilet, a covered picnic area, and a boat ramp. However, no potable water, food, or gas is available on-site, and the nearest services can be found in the towns of Silver Lake, Fort Rock, and Summer Lake, Oregon.
