Weather and SeasonsBest season: summer. Summer offers the warmest, driest weather and the most reliable access to Eagle Creek, making it ideal for fishing from the accessible platforms and for hiking the surrounding trails. Daytime highs typically run in the mid-60s to mid-70s °F (about 18–24 °C) with cool nights in the 40s–50s °F (4–12 °C), so days are comfortable for long outings while evenings are crisp. Natural Features and SceneryEagle Creek runs through the campground as a designated Wild and Scenic waterway. Two fishing platforms extend over the creek, accessible via a barrier-free pathway. The open canopy lets in full sun and frames views of the surrounding Wallowa peaks. The riparian corridor attracts a variety of bird species.
