Best season: summer. Summer offers the clearest access and the warmest, most reliable weather — expect daytime highs roughly 60–75°F (15–24°C) with cool nights dipping into the 30s–40s°F (0–8°C). Snowmelt has opened trails and the lake by late June, so July and August are peak months for hiking, trout fishing and launching small boats or kayaks. Wildflower displays, long daylight hours and mostly stable weather make it ideal for multi-day trips, though campgrounds fill on summer weekends and during August holiday(s) Peak months: July, August, September, June Avoid: October, November, December, January
Primary season June–Sept; summer provides best access and warmest, most reliable weather.
