Canyon Forest Camp is one of several small campgrounds located along the Wild and Scenic Lostine River. The camp is a rustic facility with 3 campsites, set in the cool fir and pine tree forest. It is very popular during the summer months with local and regional campers. Canyon Forest Camp is also very popular with visitors to the Eagle Cap Wilderness.

<p>From Enterprise, Oregon travel northwest on State Highway 82 to Lostine; In Lostine go 7 miles south on the Lostine River Road to Forest boundary; Lostine River Road turns into Forest Road 8210; Travel on Forest Road 8210 up the Lostine Canyon for 3.5 more miles to campground on right side of road. The forest roads are gravel surface.</p>

Summer offers the best combination of reliable warm weather (daytime highs typically in the mid-60s to mid-80s °F, nights in the 40s–50s), full trail access after snowmelt, and prime river conditions for fishing on the Lostine. Hiking into the Eagle Cap Wilderness, day trips, and riverside camping are at their peak from July through August, though expect the campground to be busiest then — there are only three rustic sites so plan ahead.
