Summer is the clear choice because Guy Sandy Campground is seasonally open from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend and provides the best access to Lake of the Arbuckles for boating, fishing, swimming and lakeside camping. Expect daytime highs generally in the mid-80s to low-90s (roughly 80–95°F) with cooler mornings/evenings in the 60s–70s, which make early-morning fishing and evening campfires ideal. Services and parking are available during this window, but expect moderate to heavy use— Peak months: June, July, August Avoid: September, October, November, December
