Go if

Tent campers or small-rig owners who can snag site 5, which sits larger and closer to the river than the other four. Fall fishing for trout in the Thompson, mushroom picking in the damp understory, and zero nightly fee make this a strong late-season stop near Thompson Falls.

Skip if

Rigs over 20 feet will struggle hard with the hairpin turn on the narrow loop road, and there's no potable water on-site at any point in the season, so hauling your own is mandatory. June and July mosquito pressure in this moist cedar bottom is genuinely punishing.
