Summer offers the most reliable weather and full access to Savenac East Cottage and surrounding trails, with warm, mostly dry days ideal for hiking, biking, fishing and boating (typical daytime highs 70–85°F, nights in the 40s–50s). Wildflower displays peak in late June–July and stream flows are pleasant for fishing and floating; trailheads and boat launches are fully accessible. Expect moderate crowds on weekends and holiday weeks, but the cottage’s location in Lolo National Forest still feels, Peak months: July, August, June, September Avoid: November, December, January, February

Savenac East Cottage offers two bedrooms, a modern bathroom, a kitchen, a dining area, and a living room. The kitchen has a stove, microwave, refrigerator, and necessary cooking utensils. Guests need to provide their own bedding and towels. Cleanliness is emphasized, as guests are responsible for cleaning the cottage before departure. Amenities like a fire extinguisher, cleaning supplies, picnic tables, and trash collection are available.
