<p>Copper Creek Campground features 16 camp units (3 accessible), potable water, accessible vault toilets, and a scenic location on the Moyie River. Beautiful Copper Falls viewpoint trail is 1.5 miles east on Copper Falls Road #2517 and there is fishing access to the Moyie River.</p>
The elevation is 2,500 ft. The campground is pack it in, pack it out and located adjacent to Moyie River. It is in a grove of cedars and other pines. Some sites are next to river. The Canadian border is 0.5 miles away at Eastport, ID. An easy must hike is the Copper Falls Trail, about 2 miles from entrance to campground - see Hiking Comments below.

There is an RV waste station available for a fee at Chevron gas station on US Rt. 95, north end of Bonners Ferry, ID.
From Bonners Ferry, ID, take US Rt. 95 north for 29.8 miles to campground sign (Forest Rt. 2517). Turn right onto Rt. 2517 and go 0.7 miles to another campground sign. Turn right into campground. NOTE: Forest Rt. 2517 is a dirt, single lane road with turnouts.

Summer brings daytime highs of 60–80°F and cool evenings perfect for campfires. This is the best time for hiking, fishing, and wildlife viewing, but the small campground fills fast on weekends. Plan for mid-week stays or reserve ahead if possible. Winter dumps about 6 inches of snow weekly, with temperatures dropping to 10°F. The campground becomes a quiet winter retreat if you can handle vault toilets in the cold.
