Summer delivers the best conditions, with daytime temperatures in the mid-70s to low-80s°F and nights cooling to the 50s–60s°F. The beach and bay are warm enough for swimming and calm for boating. Expect crowds on July and August weekends; midweek or early/late summer visits are quieter. The exposed shoreline catches brisk lake breezes and strong sun even on warm days, so bring both sunscreen and a windbreaker.
Summer offers best beach/swimming/boating conditions; reviewers praise summer visits.
