Summer brings mid-60s to mid-70s°F days and mid-40s to mid-50s°F nights, long light for paddling the lake chain, and calm mornings for fishing. The campground stays open year-round, but spring thaw and heavy summer rains turn the open ground muddy or flood low spots. The lack of tree cover means you'll feel every degree and gust. Crisp fall mornings are sharp, summer sun is direct.
Calm mornings, long daylight and high demand on summer weekends; ideal paddling/fishing season.
Rustic state forest campground with very basic facilities: vault toilets and a hand‑pump potable water source. No hookups, no showers, no reservations; sites are grassy and close to the lake.
