Summer is the operational window and the best bet. Highs sit in the 70s–80s°F, evenings drop to the 50s–60s°F. Water access makes the heat tolerable, and all amenities run at full capacity. Holiday weekends draw higher crowds. Spring brings wildflowers and runoff-swollen streams, good for trail use before the campground opens. Autumn colors peak after the season closes. Winter freezes the place into stillness.
Campground open Memorial Day–Labor Day; summer is peak season with full amenities and warm weather.
