Fall delivers the park's best camping window, with daytime temperatures around 45–65°F and nights dropping into the 30s–40s. The foliage peaks from mid-September through October, when Table Rock and the Wolf Den area show against color. Trails dry out compared to spring and summer, and bug pressure drops. Winter sees highs around 36°F and lows near 24°F. Summer reaches 75°F during the day with 55°F evenings, and afternoon thunderstorms move through regularly in late summer.
Fall is noted as the best camping window with peak foliage mid‑Sept to Oct and comfortable daytime temps.
