Best season: summer. Summer offers the most dependable weather and full access to the Secesh River corridor — expect comfortable afternoons around 65–75°F and crisp evenings near the mid-40s°F. This is peak time for hiking, riverside fishing and swimming as river flows generally calm down from spring runoff, and the small 11-site campground is lively but rarely overcrowded except on holiday weekends. Wildfire smoke and occasional fire restrictions are the main hazards to monitor late in the season. Peak months: July, August, September, June Avoid: November, December, January, February
Listed as best season; river calm by midsummer, comfortable temps 65–75°F.
