Anglers and solitude-seekers who carry their own water and don't mind a bare-bones setup will find this genuinely hard to beat in summer, when the river runs clear, nights cool into the 40s, and the odds of sharing the one site with anyone are low.
No potable water, no picnic table, no trash service, and one site that's first-come on an unmonitored road at nearly 5,000 feet. Arrive unprepared or unlucky on timing and you're driving back out.
