Go if

Anglers who want direct access to the South Fork of the Clearwater River and Leggett Creek will find the midweek midsummer window ideal: crowds thin out, water levels drop for better wading, and the five sites fit larger rigs without fighting for space.

Skip if

No potable water, no trash service, and documented bear encounters at camp mean anyone unprepared to haul their own water, pack out everything, and store food bear-safe will have a rough time here.
