Best season: summer. Summer offers the most reliable warm weather and the peak angling window on the Lemhi River — expect daytime highs roughly 70–85°F and cool nights in the 40s–50s at 5,374 ft. Aquatic insect hatches are at their strongest, making dry-fly and evening fishing excellent, while cottonwoods and willows provide welcome shade along the riverbanks.
