Go if

Groups who want space without paying for it: one reviewer fit 8 tents, a badminton court, and multiple vehicles across two sites. Anglers and boaters have Anderson Ranch Reservoir 8 miles out, plus 17 miles of trail starting from Camp Creek trailhead.

Skip if

No potable water on-site means hauling everything in, the vault toilet has drawn repeated cleanliness complaints, and the access road is rocky and steep enough that low-clearance vehicles will have a rough time reaching creek-side spots.
