<p><span itemprop="description">Hayfork Group Campground is a group only site located 49 miles northeast of Boise, Idaho, along scenic State Highway 21. </span></p><p><span itemprop="description">The historic Idaho City is just 12 miles south of the campground. Visitors enjoy fishing in Mores Creek and exploring local trails. </span></p><h4>Natural Features:</h4><p>The campground is situated at the foot of a ponderosa pine-forested hillside along State Highway 21, at an elevation of 5,100 feet. The campsite, however, is in an open area with limited shade. Wildlife and summer wildflowers are abundant in the surrounding area.</p><h4>Recreation:</h4><p>Mores Creek runs between the highway and the campground, offering cutthroat and rainbow trout fishing.<br /><br />Numerous trails are in the area, providing ample opportunities for hiking, biking, horseback riding and off-road vehicle riding. Summer offers the most reliable weather and full access to Hayfork Group Campground: expect pleasant daytime highs in the mid-60s to mid-80s°F and cool nights in the 40s–50s°F, making evenings around the campfire comfortable. This is peak season for group gatherings, hiking the surrounding Ponderosa ridgelines, fishing Mores Creek, mountain biking, and abundant wildlife viewing; however weekends in July–August are busiest so plan reservations early. Hayfork Group Campground, located at an elevation of 5,100 feet along scenic Highway 21, offers a variety of facilities including a single large group campsite for up to 50 people. Amenities include multiple picnic tables, a grill, a campfire circle with benches, vault toilets, a handpump for drinking water, and dumpsters for trash collection. Parking is provided on gravel spurs, but some noise from nearby traffic may be noticeable. "The waterway masks the highway sound nicely," noted one reviewer, although others mentioned uneven RV pads and difficulty leveling.
