Summer offers the best combination of access, weather, and activity options: the Forest Service opens Graham Cabin July 1 through early September, and summer days at 5,720 ft typically warm into the mid-60s to mid-70s°F (55–80°F) with cool nights (30s–40s°F). Trails into the Sawtooth foothills and along the North Fork Boise River are fully passable, making hiking, fishing, mountain biking, wildlife viewing, and alpine day trips at their peak. Graham Cabin is a rustic two-room cabin with limited amenities. It accommodates up to six people, with five twin beds and a kitchen containing a wood stove for cooking and heating. Facilities include an outhouse with a vault toilet, a picnic table, and a campfire ring outside. There is no potable water, electricity, bedding, lighting, cookware, kitchen utensils, matches, or first aid supplies provided. Guests must bring these essentials or obtain firewood locally due to pest prevention initiatives.
