    About Hontoon Island State Park Campground

    Have you ever camped on an island before? Join us on island time by camping in one of our primitive cabins! A park ferry is available to transport you across the St. Johns River to your island destination. Unload your belongings and hop in one of our vans and enjoy your trip to the cabins. Each cabin on Hontoon Island is equipped with a ceiling fan, one electrical outlet, bunk beds, and a screened-in porch with tables and chairs. A water faucet, picnic table and grill are available outside the cabins. Primitive tent sites also are available. Enjoy hiking or kayaking by day and roasting s'mores by night!
