Summer is prime for riverside recreation. Expect warm, sunny days with highs in the upper 70s to low 90s°F and long daylight for swimming, tubing, paddling, and biking along the river. Park amenities (restrooms, hot showers, laundry) are fully available through summer, and peach harvest season in nearby Palisade adds interest. Weekends get busy, weekdays much quieter. Watch for afternoon monsoon thunderstorms and wildfire restrictions in late July.
