RV campers who value breathing room should look elsewhere: sites pack tight with minimal privacy, one vehicle per site is enforced hard, and reviewers report more run-ins with staff over rules than you'd expect at a place charging $55 a night.

Late May through mid-September brings full trail access and open facilities. Summer temperatures reach 65-80°F during the day, dropping to 30-45°F at night, so layers are essential even in July. Holiday weekends draw the biggest crowds. Mornings and evenings offer the best wildlife activity. The valley catches wind that carries pine scent across the campsites. Snow typically closes higher trails until late spring.
Full trail access and open facilities; very busy/crowded but clean and scenic per reviews.
