<p>17 sites. Pacific Crest Trail Access. No Water. The nearest water can be found at the Warner Springs Gas Station. The Campground name has been changed to Atáxam Mámta’ash "ut-TAH-hoom MUM-tuh-ush" (People's Flat) Campground to honor the descendants of the land. </p>

Fall offers the best combination of mild daytime temperatures (typically 60–75°F) and cool, crisp nights (around 35–45°F), making long hikes on the Pacific Crest Trail and daytime wildlife viewing especially pleasant. Vegetation in riparian pockets stays green longer and the crowds thin compared with summer, so you get solitude on the trail and at the 17-site campground. Fire danger usually eases compared to late summer, but continue to check local advisories and bring your own water because the Peak months: October, November, September, December Avoid: April, May
