Go if

OHV riders and RVers who can roll in mid-week will find large, flat sites with plenty of pine shade at zero cost. AT&T users get workable signal, and Obsidian Dome plus the Owens River headwaters are right there. Bring all your water; the Crestview rest area 2 miles south on HWY

Skip if

Generator noise and OHV traffic run heavy on summer weekends, and there's no potable water or dump station on-site. Tent campers hoping for quiet evenings or wildlife sightings will find the noise frustrating, and the host's enforcement style draws mixed reviews worth knowing abo
