As autumn arrives, crisp air and golden aspens create magical conditions for hiking. Winter transforms the landscape into a snow-covered wonderland with heavy snowfall blanketing the peaks. Spring visitors in late May and early June should come prepared for winter's lingering embrace, as snow patches may still dot the landscape and evening temperatures can dip toward freezing.
