Summer delivers the easiest access and warmest weather. Daytime highs in the mid-60s to mid-70s°F at camp elevation, with nights dropping into the 30s–40s°F. Afternoon thunderstorms are common in July and August. This is peak season for trail access, fishing in alpine lakes, and wildflower displays, so popular sites fill quickly.
