Leaving the camera on the whole trip matters to you? The caverns ban photography inside, and that's a dealbreaker for many. No cell service, no wifi, and no pets (except cabins 3 and 4) rules out a lot of families too.

Fall delivers the most comfortable camping, with October bringing daytime highs of 70–90°F that cool to 55–75°F by November. Insects drop off after monsoon season ends, trails stay pleasant for full-day hikes, and vegetation dries to crisp desert tones. Holiday weekends see moderate crowds, but weekdays are quieter than spring peak times. Sunrise photography works best in these stable fall skies.
