Summer offers the most reliable weather and longest daylight — expect cool, mostly clear days in the mid-40s to mid-60s °F (7–18 °C) with calmer seas ideal for approaching by boat or floatplane. This is peak season for boating, saltwater and freshwater fishing, wildlife viewing (sea otters, seals, humpback whales and shorebirds), and comfortable overnight stays in the cabin.
