Best season: summer. Summer delivers the warm, sunny days and calm river conditions that make Pioneer Park shine — ideal for swimming, boating, early-morning paddling through mist, and the best fishing of the year. Expect daytime highs around 70–85°F and cool nights in the mid-40s to mid-50s, with dense forest shade keeping campsites comfortable. This is peak activity season (especially July–August), so reserve ahead for weekends; be aware of occasional wildfire smoke or fire restrictions during the driest weeks. Peak months: July, August, September, June Avoid: October, November, December, January
Spring recommended for quieter stays with mild weather and fewer crowds.
