Best Time to Camp at Greendale Campground

From mid-May through October, Greendale transforms into a temperate paradise where warm days give way to cool mountain evenings. As autumn arrives, the surrounding forest erupts in brilliant foliage, creating a photographer's dream. When winter descends from December through April, the campground takes on an entirely different character—deep snow blankets the access road and facilities, making it accessible only to the most adventurous souls willing to strap on skis or snowshoes for a memorable one-mile journey into a winter wonderland.
