The Equestrian Campground is nestled by large oak trees and located near the Nuckahee Learning center. It offers 3 accessible campsites with fire rings, picnic tables, and wood grills. Drinking water is available via a paddle style spigot next to the corrals, garbage collection is provided, and an accessible restroom is on site. A large gravel parking area accommodates 2-3 trucks with horse trailers and provides space to turn around. Corrals are available for horseback riders, and a short 1/4 mile bypass trail connects to the main trail head. Reservations are not accepted; sites are first come, first served. No electricity is provided, and cell service is typically nonexistent. A permit is required for campfires, which must be in designated fire rings. The campground has a 14-day camping limit.
