Go if

Sites 20-25 are the move: good spacing, rocks at your back, and 18 miles of trails starting practically at your door. Fall is the sweet spot, with daytime highs in the 60s-80s and the canyon walls at their richest color.

Skip if

RV campers defaulting to hookup sites 1-14 will find them narrow and shoulder-to-shoulder, and the south entrance construction adds another headache. Summer heat regularly cracks 100°F, and there's no shade or water to escape into.
