Best season: summer. Summer offers the most reliable, pleasant weather at 7,200 ft—expect warm, sunny days (mid-60s to low-80s°F) and cool nights (mid-30s to low-50s°F), ideal for camping. Trails and access are fully open, river flows are moderate for fishing, and wildflower meadows and shady ponderosa groves make hiking, biking, and wildlife viewing especially enjoyable.
